Updated: Aug 18, 2022

If you're rushing for time and need a quick tour of Penang here are the top 3 things to do.

1. Explore Georgetown Street Art

Georgetown's streets in recent years have come to life thanks to the addition of street arts dotted around Penang’s city centre, along roads like Muntri Street, Weld Quay, Lebuh Leith, Armenian Street, Lebuh Ah Quee and many more.

These street arts were designed by the talented Lithuanian artist, Ernest Zacharevic in 2012. He cleverly design the art so that it looked realistic including adding a bicycle to one of his famous artworks. He breathe life into what once was a plain worn out wall and turned it into something unique.

Many of his inspirations were drawn from rich Malaysian history which reflects the historic Georgetown.

2. Try some local hawker food

No trip to Penang would be complete without trying some of the local hawker food such as Char Koay teow, Laksa, Chicken Rice, Hokkien Mee and Nasi Lemak. These foods are so amazing you would want a second plate. The Penang signature Char koay teow is made of fried noodles with egg, chinese sausage, prawns and bean sprouts.

There is a reason Penang was given the nickname ' Food Heaven' after all.

For the best Hidden Gem Char Koay Teow:
24, Jalan Sungai Kelian, Tanjung Tokong, 11200 Tanjung Bungah, Pulau Pinang

3. Catch the sunset at Batu Ferringhi Beach
